Bike Ride

Nicholas went for his first bike ride in the bike seat. He was overly excited

Yes he did wear a helmet if you look to the right you will see it. I thought he looked so adorable with it on but Steve did not, cause it's pink. We may need to quit buying everything pink for Aisha because Nicholas is starting to show up in all things pink and Steve does not appreciate it:)

Tomato Soup

So while I was canning tomato soup

The kids were enjoying and endless amount of Cheerios
I really enjoy canning, but with two littles it is quite a chore so I do what it takes to keep them occupied and get it done as quick as I can. Thank you Cheerios!

Stoltzfus Vacation

Every year Steve's family goes to the cabin for a long weekend (Thurs-Sunday). OK so we went up from Sunday to Sunday. Steve is doing some work up there so he was working Monday then the rest of the week we hung out! Steve's version of "hanging out" is always doing something (fishing, four wheeling, cutting down a tree) and my version of "hanging out" is relaxing (SLEEPING, reading, digital scrap booking) so that made it interesting:) We really did have allot of fun! Both of the kids love it up there! with all the trips we have made up there the last couple of months they may be confused which is their real home.

Every Year we go up the same time as the Harford Fair I am not much of a fair person but I love the Harford Fair. It is a good old country fair that may be slightly redneck:). This is the first year that Aisha loved the rides, so that's pretty much what we did.

We entered them both into the baby show and Aisha won first in her category and Nicholas won second in his.

Aisha loved playing with Steve's tackle box so we stopped and Cabela's on the way up and got her, her own tackle box and fishing line. To say she was excited about it is and understatement she may have even insisted on sleeping with it
I love how girly she is, but is not afraid to touch a fish:)

Shooting clay pigeons

These little girls had so much fun playing with the Jeep they literally spent hours on that thing

 "I see you Brooke"

Friday night we go out to the fair and eat dinner then we gave the kids rides and watched the rodeo
I love how fearless Aisha is, she wanted to go on the ride all by herself
Minuets after we left the fairgrounds this happened! there were about 12 people injured and the neighbor lady at the cabin was one of the injured, She was drug for 12 feet and it shattered her shoulder bone. We were all thanking God for his protection over us, Steve comes from a big family and everyone had left before it happened.

Kan Jam was a popular game

and of course the annual pinata

I will leave you with a family picture

We had allot of fun and love spending time with our families!

Nicholas~ 6 Months

On Tuesday Nicholas reached the six month mark (Yaaay). He started sitting last week and absolutely loves sitting on the floor and playing with his toys. I'm starting to see more of his personality come out and it is so much fun! He loves action and being on the go! He LOVES his car seat and is an angel when we are traveling which makes this momma happy since we've been gone allot this summer!

He adores his big sister and thinks she is funny all the time.

I'm enjoying the ages that the kids are! Aisha loves her brother so much and loves to make him laugh or make sure he has toys to play with.

And of course she wanted her picture taken in the basket.

Zucchini

Every year my husband goes a little crazy with planting Zucchini. This year we have four plants and so we are overly blessed with zucchini

{little boy looks concerned that he might get whacked over the head with a zucchini}

So if you need zucchini please stop by! (seriously)

A Weekend At The Beach

We spent last weekend at Rehobeth Beach with my sister and her family. It was HOT and PACKED but we had a fun time. I love spending time with family and watching the kids have so much fun together!

Five Years

On Saturday (June 23rd) Steve and I celebrated our 5th year of marriage.
{lovely self portrait}

We dropped the kids off friday afternoon,
 Aisha stayed with her aunt Hannah and Nicholas went to Steve's parents, let me interupt myself and say that this is the first time we ever left our kids overnight so it was long overdue! I was very nervous about how Aisha would do going to bed for someone else since she doesn't go to bed that nice for us and the only other time somone put her to bed was when I was in the hospital and that did not go so well. Hannah said she did great, I think they wore her out.

We headed to Baltimore,

{Don't judge my hair, we sat through some rain during the game}

 I forgot what it was like to have an adult conversation while driving down the road, ok maybe I even forgot what it was like to have an uninterupted adult conversation period! We ate at the cheesecake factory then headed to the Oriols game (yes I love baseball just as much as my husband so it was romantic) after the game we walked around the city and went back to our motel. The next morning we slept late, and then went to the Blue Moon Cafe if you ever eat breakfast in Baltimore do yourself and your stomach a huge favor and eat there! it was amazing. After breakfast we walked around a bit and headed out. We stopped at York Galleria and did some shopping then headed to pick up the kids
.
Even though it was nice to walk around without a huge bag weighing me down
or pushing a stroller
or not having to think about when someone else is hungry or has to pee
we both missed the kids terribly and were so excited to see them

I told Steve I felt refueled as a mother, I hardly get the chance to miss my kids and it was fun to have that feeling!

These last five years have flown by, I'd be lying if I said they were easy, We've had our ups and downs,I never knew how selfish I was until I got married:) but I'm so thankful that God brought Steve into my life he is a wonderful husband and an amazing father! He is an awesome leader in our home and is always putting his family first.
Thanks babe for loving me!

Toddler Talk

I just cannot get enough of it!

Steve and I are those weird parents that instead of correcting our kids we talk like them

For instance: Aisha calls hoshy (deer) bologna "bologna hoshy) so that's what it is around our house, and by the way hoshy means deer in dutch, yes we are those weird people that throw in a dutch word every now and then:)

I love how she says girl, so I will ask her 20 times a day if she is a boy or a girl, to which she immediately responds "I a gur" (aaahhh so cute)

She's starting to talk so "big", the other day while we were supposed to be taking a nap she turns to me and say "now mom let me tell you something"

 Pictures are of Aisha at 2 years and 2 months

Nicholas~ 4 Months

Today Nicholas is four months old

He is turning into such a happy little guy! He will smile for just about anyone.
His sister can make him laugh at almost anytime. He loves when she is jumping around, it is great entertainment for him.
He is starting to be on a routine and take pretty good naps which I am very grateful for! He goes to bed around 7:30-8:00pm and normally sleeps till 6:00am. So we are finally feeling a little more rested.

He will roll from his stomach to his back but still has not mastered from his back to his stomach but he tries so hard, I keep thinking any day now it will happen.

this is a common sight around here, Nicholas in his saucer and Aisha jumping around to make him laugh.

We are looking forward to enjoying this holiday weekend together!
Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Poole Forge Park

Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the park with some of Steve's family.

The kids had so much fun on the playground and playing in the creek! One of my favorite things about summer is spending more time with family, and watching the kids have fun playing outside together

{Brook and Aisha with their aunt Hannah}

{I think the little girls are getting into trouble}

{and that is the look of pure mischief}

{Nicholas is turning into such a happy baby}

{could they look anymore alike?}

{the big kids playing in the creek}

"God I look to you, you're where my help comes from, give me vision to see them {my kids} like you do, God I look to you"

Happy Monday
